Introduction to Multi-sensory, Synthetic Phonics, Levels I, II, III,
3 semester graduate Credits or CEU's. When students do not learn by traditional approaches, teachers need to present the reading curriculum differently. This course teaches the Orton-Gillingham Approach and has a 14 hour practicum. Course Objectives are available upon request from cwajr2@cs.com.
These courses meet classroom hour requirements at the Subscriber and Associate and Certified Levels of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. Extra Practicum hours will be needed to fulfill Academy requirements.
Dates, Location and times: August 1st through August 12th, St. Paul's Lutheran School,5634 Luther Rd., Prior Lake MN 55372. Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 14 hours of practicum are included during this time. Practicum times are 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM days 4-10.

Cost: The cost is $350.00 and a materials fee is $150.00 to ECM, Inc., and optional are CEU's and/or 3 graduate credits from fully accredited, Baker University and a transcript for a total of $160.00. All paper work will be done the second day of class. Baker accepts credit cards.
Registration: A check for $350.00 or a Purchase Order made out to ECM, Inc., must accompany this registration form to hold a slot by July 8th. Materials fee is $150.00 and the check is to be made out to ECM, Inc. Graduate Credit, if desired, will be done in class.

Curriculum Adaptations for
Students Struggling with Reading, Written Expression and Spelling Levels I, II,
, 3 semester graduate credits or CEU's. How do you teach the subject matter to students who struggle? This course stresses changing the way the curriculum is presented; not by watering down the content or changing the curriculum. Level II involves matching the state/district curriculum to the grade level text and vice-versa. These adaptations are consistent with the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Course Objectives are available upon request. Note:
these courses can be part of a school year staff development program.
