1. MASTERY TEST OF SYLLABLE PATTERNS, SUFFIXES AND SIGHT WORDS (21 pages on card stock, reproducible Protocol, Administration Manual, Percentage tables, and includes a spelling test that parallels the reading test) is available for $25.00. This is a criterion referenced test that measures a student’s ability to decode and encode the 6 basic syllable patterns and their suffixes. Also included is a paragraph reading test for decoding and fluency, and a Sight Word Screening Test that is based upon the frequency of usage of the sight words and high frequency words and goes beyond the many “Dolch Word Tests” see item 6. This is a criterion referenced battery of tests useful to determine Level II interventions.

2. PHONETIC AWARNESS CHECK LIST (4 pages on card stock, including scoring tables, and the protocol is reproducible) is available for $9.00. Phonemic awareness deals with processing and manipulating sounds. This check list measures which symbol/sounds the person has mastered and highlights which ones have to be taught or re-taught. This is a criterion referenced test useful to determine Level II interventions.

IEP/ 504 PROBLEM SOLVING WORKBOOK (23 pages) is available for $9.95.  Only pages 14-23 are reproducible.  This monograph has every accommodation listed and provides a “problem solving format to determine appropriate accommodations. This is useful for Level II interventions and in IEP and 504 accommodations.

6. SIGHT WORD SCREENING TEST, for students 1- adult is available for $7.50. 224 sight words are tested for reading and/or spelling. These sight words control 12% of the language, and must be mastered by the end of second grade. The test is on 5 pages of card stock, with reproducible protocols. This is a criterion referenced test and useful to determine Level II interventions. See article on “Sight Words, Dolch Words and High Frequency Words in the "Articles" section of this web site. 7. SIGHT WORD PHRASE CARDS, for students who need additional practice learning sight words and fluency is available for $15.00. These cards average 6 sight word phrases per page and are grouped alphabetically, “a big horse, down the street, on the floor, then he said...”. These phrases are from “The 95 Commonest Nouns and the Basic Sight Vocabulary” by E. W. Dolch, Ph.D., 1948, and have been reformatted and regrouped alphabetically. There are 25 cards in this packet. This is a criterion referenced test useful to determine Level II interventions.

8. POST KINDERGARTEN SCREENING TEST, for those struggling at the end of kindergarten or in 1st grade who do not have enough skills to be tested by many standard tests is available for $10.50. Students are screened about their ability to write the alphabet and numbers, recognize letters and numbers, and provide the sounds for consonants. Color words and color recognition is also tested along with beginning sight words and simple sentences. The test is on 9 pages of card stock with reproducible protocols. This is a criterion referenced test, useful to determine Level II interventions.

10. MATCHING GAMES,, $4.00 each, are available for younger elementary students who are struggling to learn how things are alike and how things are different. Each game is on a piece of card stock which must be cut and stored in a locking, plastic, sandwich bag. The ordering individual decides upon how many items to place in each bag. Several  10A. MATCHING CAPITAL LETTERS; 10B. MATCHING LOWER CASE LETTERS; 10C. MATCHING CAPITAL AND LOWER CASE LETTERS; 10D. MATCHING NUMBERS; 10E. MATCHING NUMBER WORDS; 10F. MATCHING NUMBERS AND NUMBER WORDS; 10G. MATCHING 230 SIGHT WORDS ($8.00 FOR THIS ONE). These are reproducible.

11. HEMOGRIPPERS,for students and adults who need to “fiddle” are available at $5.50 per gripper. These grippers are made of tough wrestling mat material with a shiny finish. They are designed to fit in the palm of the hand. They will not roll, and of course are not to be thrown. Originally designed as “pumps” for giving blood, they are now being sold for those students and adults who need to “fiddle” in a socially appropriate way, in order to pay attention to learn. Instructions included along with a student contract.These contracts are reproducible.

12. "Helping your Struggling Student with School Work at Home" (12 pages and reproducible) is available for $4.50. This booklet describes, in detail, 24 tried and true ways to manage homework hassles. Included is a check list of each strategy so that parents can remember what has been tried before. These strategies are based upon the video “Homework and Learning Disabilities: A Common Sense Approach” which is available from Menninger Video Productions, 1-800-345-6036.

13. "Education Principles for the Mainstreamed Student" (17 pages and reproducible) is available for $5.00. This handout defines all the subtypes of learning disabilities and provides tried and true methods to meet the academic needs, including study guides and fair testing tips for the student.

14. Graphic Organizers for Class Room Teachers (20 pages and reproducible) is available for $4.50 each. Most students need to use graphic organizers to help them learn new material. Compare and contrast organizers, as well as problems solving sheets, plot diagrams, character development, genre categories, and puzzle masters are included.

15.  A copy of "The Underlining Option"  "The Underlining Option" was devised by Wilson Anderson in the early 70's as a way that bad spellers could express themselves without running the risk of failing tests and in-class writing assignments. This is free and is available under "Articles"in this web site.

16.  "Hassle Log" (1 page and reproducible) is available for a $1.50. The “Hassle Log” is a system whereby students learn accountability for their own behavior and actions instead of blaming others. Completed “Hassle Logs” are valuable when it comes to parent conferences and are very useful in managing the behavior of students with ADHD. Useful for Level II interventions.
